Daily links: 14th August
Round up of some links.
The work of Jack's Kindness Shop - I think his idea of being an animal lover may need some work.
The Daily Mash on the American healthcare debate - Dr Tom Logan, head of public health at the Institute for Studies, said: "The key difference between the United States and Britain is that we treat poor people rather than leaving them to die in a skip."
Who ya gonna call? - Don't cross the streams.
Israel fights off Swine Flu - obviously where the UK is going wrong.
Pirate Party UK - single issue politics. Almost certainly won't get anywhere without proportional representation, but it's an interesting development.
Rescue Robot in Japan - pretty cool way to avoid sending firefighters into dangerous situations, but I'd still worry about someone getting an order wrong and shipping one of these.
Engadget review Windows 7 - pretty positive.
Lifehacker go over Digsby - possibly the most bundled crap around in one package from the sound of it.
Slate on why Twitter can't last as Twitter alone - needs to distribute from one company to many. Could be something that works with Wave?
